Short Course Director.

Tutor for the Lingfield Equine Psychology & Behaviour course.Author and Tutor of the Lingfield Livery Yard Management course www.animal-therapy.co.uk is Hannah's site which is in the throws of being revamped. Hannah Haskew is Director of our Short Courses and tutors the Equine Psychology & Behaviour, and Livery Yard Management courses on a part-time basis. She is a registered BHSAI instructor with a BSc Honours degree in Equine Sports Science, and many years experience on a variety of different yards including Olympic team members. Her special interests lie in the rehabilitation of horses and the psychology behind different training and management techniques.

Hannah is currently based in Derbyshire where as a leading professional in her field she runs a thriving animal therapy practice. Her clients include HOYS reserve champions and International Driving Horses.   She holds many different therapy-related qualifications up to post-graduate level, and is a member of the McTimoney Animal Association, International Equine Bodyworker Association and the British Complementary Medicine Association.

Hannah provides excellent background support for Paula in the administration office, even though she is busy with her own students and animal practice.

Hannah continues to train and gain further qualifications to improve and broaden her skills base.  We are extremely lucky to have Hannah as a member of our team.

 

Liz McIlwraith BHSIT.

Owner of Bridge House Equestrian Centre, Sussex .Author & Tutor of the Feeding & Nutrition course.  Liz McIlwraith BHSIT, tutors the Feeding & Nutrition course and as a member of the Association of British Riding Schools Executive Committee is well respected in the equine industry. Liz, owns the successful the riding and competition centre, Bridge House Equestrian Centre in Slinfold, Sussex.

Fiona Dent

Fiona Dent BHS II.T.Reg RDA I. Pony Club examiner,and NVQ assesser. UKCC Level 2 Assessor RDA, South East Region Dressage Co-ordinator RDA, Training Adviser, Examiner & Instructor for Riding for The Disabled.

Author & Tutor of the Lingfield First Aid for Horses course & pracitcal workshops in conjunction with Bridge House Equestrian Centre.

Fiona Dent works as a freelance riding instructor based in Edenbridge, on the Kent , Surrey, and Sussex borders. Fiona offers hands on practical workshops on Horse 1st Aid in the South East of England. Fiona has thirty years experience of teaching both recreational and vocational students of all ages. Fiona specialises in teaching the correct basic foundations of riding and training for both horse and rider onto which specific individual disciplines can be built.

Fiona’s competion experience includes riding club level in Showjumping and Eventing, at Medium Advanced level dressage, shown at county level and hunted regularly. Driving trials, long distance riding and le trec are other areas in which she has competed. Fiona’s client base covers a wide variety of students from disabled riders and young children to riding club level adults. Her aim is to teach people to ride confidently with balance and co-ordination, using a range of techniques gathered over the years, including some natural horsemanship methods and classical riding in which all qualified instructors are trained.

It is Fiona’s belief that both horse and rider must be treated as individuals to reach their full potential, and that the basic building blocks of communication, control, and confidence are essential for a happy horse and rider combination.

 

Hazel Reed BHSAI

Author and Tutor of SC4 - the Practical Psychology & Behaviour course.

Hazel is the writer of the very successful British Horse Society Stage Examinations textbooks which have guided thousands through their BHS exams to a career in the equine industry. Hazel has been coached by many international trainers including the Parelli School of Natural Horsemanship in which she gained her Level 1 qualification. Hazel´s particular field is practical horse psychology helping owners and riders understand their horses and ponies, and train them in achieving a harmonious partnership.  Chat to Hazel on Facebook
