Lingfield Long courses:  Based on BHS Stages 1-3 & the ABRS Levels 1 & 2. Incorporate the BHS Horse Owner's Certificates syllabus: You don't need to own a horse or belong to the BHS.  We especially welcome mature and younger students alike.

Our friendly and relaxed flexible home study courses fit perfectly with todays busy life style.  We use non text book language and a friendly informal approach to learning.  You can enrol by post or on line.

What you get:

  • Free tutor support for every student.  You may call on your tutor by email or telephone for free help and advice throughout your course.
  • Easy to read and learn course material, written in plain English avoiding technical terminology.A relaxed and easy going approach to learning, with no timetables to stick to! Fits around the family.
  • The option to sit the British Horse Society Horse Owners Certificate exams with all of our individual Levels 1-3 courses.  The BHS HOC Syllabus is an integral part of our courses.
  • Completion Certificates with all our courses - even when part of an Intermediate programme
  • Certificates and Diplomas.

The Lingfield Levels 1-3 Long courses are based on the theory required for those taking equestrian professional qualifications. They include theory knowledge required by anyone aiming for the BHS & ABRS Instructors and national UK Coaching Certificates (UKCC) in any of the equestrian disciplines including British Reining, Vaulting and RDA and Riding Club exams. They are therefore an ideal stepping stone for those making a change of career.

The heart and soul of our organisation is as our logo states:  'Caring for Horses'.  Our hope is that as our students broaden their knowledge they will ultimately be better equiped to help others care more knowledgeably for their own horses.

Courses are sent by post or by e.mail.  E.mail is of course much faster.
If you enrol on line on a working day, you can start your course the same day!

ENROL BY POST: If you prefer to receive a printed copy of our Prospectus and enrolment form through the post, simply send your request with your name and address to This e-mail address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it or print a Form & Prospectus from this site.  The day you post the form and fee, you just email us giving your first and last name & details of posting - do this from the email address you intend to use for the course.

TO ENROL ON LINE: Click on the title of your chosen course, scroll down, click ENROL.   If at any stage you get stuck or change your mind during your registration, just click on the back arrow a couple or more times on the top left of your screen to return to pages you were viewing previously.

Worried about doing an email course? Maybe you don't use the computer much?  It is very easy and you don't need to work on the computer at all even with email courses.

It is quite easy:  All you need to do is send us an email address to which we can send the course material.  Then you print the material up yourself (or get someone to do it for you) and you can work in the normal way from the printed page on your table or desk.
