Funding and Grants
It is worth checking the following organisations and schemes: Lantra, Rural Enterprise Schemes, Defra if you are a smallholder or farmer, and also your local Citizens Advice Bureau to see if there are any charities offering support for learning.
The job centre may also advise if there is any funding or support available for you in your particular circumstances
Those aiming to start a business would do well to contact Business Link. This is a national organisation which may prove a useful source of funding via the EU. Even as a one man band/sole trader you are a ‘business’ e.g. riding instructor, grooms service, livery yard or mobile tack shop. You might get help with buying a new computer, training or even setting up a web site.
