Body Protectors – what do you know?
Level 1 Is the Black Label.
This offers the lowest level of protection – not ideal and should only be used by licensed jockeys when actually racing.
Level 2 Is the Brown Label
This provides a lower than normal level of protection. Only suitable for low risk situations.
Not suitable for jumping or riding on roads etc.,
Not suitable for riding young or excitable horses or for those riders who are less experienced.
Level 3 Is the Purple Label
This is the one you need for general riding. Level 3 body protectors should prevent minor bruising that would have produced stiffness and pain. They provide some protection against soft tissue injuries and prevent a limited number of rib fractures.
