Based near Edinburgh, she runs Equiteach, offering coaching to a broad range of clients — from grassroots riders and new horse owners to those pursuing professional pathways. She currently competes in eventing with her daughter’s ex-racehorse, Douglas Bank, and brings the same blend of empathy, clarity and determination to both her riding and her coaching.
Belinda is especially passionate about helping novice or first-time horse owners develop the skills and understanding needed to truly thrive. Her approach mirrors the values at the heart of Lingfield’s ethos: that equine education should be accessible, supportive, and rooted in real-world usefulness. Like Paula, Belinda believes learning is about far more than passing exams — it’s about improving welfare, building confidence, and fostering a thoughtful, humane approach to horse care and riding.
Belinda’s connection to Lingfield’s Course Co-ordinator, Cat, goes back many years. The two first met at a local riding school, where Belinda was teaching and Cat was a horse-mad teenager exchanging help with adult beginner lessons for a weekly ride on her favourite school pony. Years later, while retraining as an equine sports massage therapist, Cat reconnected with Belinda. When Paula approached Cat looking for a new tutor, the first person who came to mind was Belinda, because she knew the two had the same beliefs underpinning their approach to equestrian education.
As part of the Lingfield tutor team, Belinda brings a balance of continuity and fresh insight, helping to ensure Paula’s legacy of open-minded, welfare-focused, and genuinely useful equestrian education continues to flourish.
