Lizzie is an experienced leadership coach and the founder of The Equestrian Leadership Consultancy. Based in North-East Derbyshire with her husband, a herd of spirited Exmoor ponies, and a cat named Talula (who runs the show), Lizzie brings a refreshing and much-needed focus to the people side of equestrian life.
Her equestrian journey began the way many do – being “plonked” onto ponies by her older sister at every opportunity. But as adulthood came calling, Lizzie built a successful career in leadership and customer service at Sky UK. There, she discovered her natural strength in people leadership – a passion that would take her across the UK and Europe, coaching and developing leaders in a range of industries.
Like many, the pandemic prompted Lizzie to reflect on how she wanted to spend her time and energy. The result was a powerful mission: to bring world-class leadership development into the equestrian industry. Lizzie believes that while horses are at the heart of our community, it’s skilled, inspired, and valued people who keep the industry alive and evolving.
Now, Lizzie joins the Lingfield team to develop and deliver a specialist course focused on leadership in equestrian settings — equipping managers, yard owners, and team leaders with the tools to guide people effectively, humanely, and professionally in a fast-changing world.
