Volunteer with Lingfield Equine Distance Learning

Volunteer admin help Training options

We are searching for 1 or more people to support us (from home) with admin on the Lingfield Equine Distance Learning fb page from March 2021.

Depending on who applies and if it fits, we would expect them to share checking to see if there are messages 3-4 times a week and to  assist with admin on that page.  Paula is fairly tied up so has insufficient time to input as much as she would like.

Some prior experience with fb business pages is required and preferably some marketing too. Familiarity with all the vagaries of the fb design and settings and insights etc. would therefore be really useful.

There is the real possibility of free training in marketing and online work in the forthcoming months. We are hoping this role, although voluntary at the moment, for the right person/s might develop further to suit all parties in future.

If you are interested, please drop us a C.V. letting us know a little about yourself and your work experience – and most importantly why you might be interested in this sort of volunteering.

Important point:   We are keen to know about the person not just their work – so do include your home situation and things you are interested in – general info on yourself – including schooling, part/full time/ volunteering jobs, family, personal interests and of  course your horse interests etc. We like to get to know and be on the same wavelength as people we work with – there are only a handfull of us and only one running the office/admin.  We prefer that relationships with co-workers are fairly informal and friendly here whilst still maintaining a professional approach.

One thing which is important is the way you view horses and caring for them on a physical as well as psychological basis – this is really vital and we are quite particular about this.  You must also understand that this is an educational site and anything we say or post is judged by readers and viewers – we must adhere to safety, good practices, and kindness in our approach to both animals and humans.  We must all have and show empathy for the more mature rider and those who are novices with little equine background.

Let us know please what, if anything, you have handled previously on fb, who for etc., and include info on any advertising or marketing both on fb and for other companies if any.   What admin roles if any you have held – what devices you use for accessing social media.  Please advise what times and days of the week you would be available.  Whether you feel comfortable with customer services type roles and feel you would be good at providing kind, empathetic and helpful responses to enquiries etc.

This would be a three or four way shared role with Paula in the office.   We would also be inputting and overseeing the page.  We will need to match those who are interested to enable us to fit the days and times together but flexibility would also be vital.  The emphasis here is on ‘friendly and approachable’.
