UKRS Certificate in Equestrian Leadership

UKRS Certificate in Equestrian Leadership

The future of the equestrian industry depends on more than good horsemanship. It depends on good leadership. For too long, yards have expected people to lead teams without ever being taught how. The result? Burnout, poor communication, struggling staff, and ultimately compromised horse welfare. The UKRS Certificate in Equestrian Leadership is a practical and progressive solution to a long-standing industry challenge. Designed specifically for equestrians, this course develops the self-leadership, emotional intelligence, and people skills needed to create healthier teams, stronger businesses, and better outcomes for horses. Because improving horse welfare doesn’t start in the stable - it starts with the people. The equestrian industry is resilient, passionate - and often stuck in a culture of struggle. Long hours, high pressure, and teams expected to cope rather than thrive have become normal. Change starts with leadership, and leadership starts here.

Module one begins with exploring why equestrian professionals benefit from developing people leadership skills, why it matters to the future of the industry and then considers why this has been a blind spot in the culture of equestrianism in the UK.
