I searched google for yard management courses. I have reasonable business skills, but they are not necessarily related to the equine industry. Neither are they related to managing the scenarios I have seen presented by livery clients, by the general equine customer base and by the service industries & professionals we are likely to be involved with.

I realise that I’ll need the business skills related to these things and will need good written policies in place if we are to comply legally with various regulations. It is this information I believe I will require to operate a successful and sustainable front end equine business. Licensing of livery yards is being discussed much more regularly now in Scotland too so that is another reason to get this under my belt.

I looked at your website and others for a good few weeks before I contacted you with a question to see if I could do a course such as The Livery Yard Managers without actual riding/training experience. After that was answered positively, I signed up a few days later. The fact that you are so well established, recognised by people I spoke to and have flexible completion dates is an added bonus .

Your website is very detailed and helpful with course details and has a fully detailed syllabus too. That was what decided me to sign on.
